Responsibilities: 


  • Lead and manage research projects on population genetics, including designing and implementing studies, analyzing genetic data, and interpreting results. 

  • Conduct advanced data analysis and modeling to investigate genetic variation, population structure, and evolutionary processes. 

  • Utilize next-generation sequencing technologies and bioinformatics tools to analyze large-scale genomic data. 

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners to explore the genetic basis of complex traits, disease susceptibility, and adaptation. 

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in population genetics, genomics, and statistical methods, and integrate new knowledge into research activities. 

  • Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals and present at conferences and scientific meetings. 

  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and research staff, fostering their professional development and growth. 

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry partners. 

  • Contribute to grant proposal development and secure external funding for research projects. Ensure all research activities comply with ethical guidelines, data privacy regulations, and institutional policies. 


Requirements: 


  • Ph.D. in Population Genetics, Genomics, Evolutionary Biology, or a related field. Post-doctoral research experience is highly desirable. 

  • Proven track record of successful research in population genetics, demonstrated by publications in reputable scientific journals. 

  • Strong expertise in population genetics theory, statistical analysis, and computational tools used in population genetics research. 

  • Proficiency in analyzing large-scale genomic data and applying relevant bioinformatics tools and software. 

  • Experience with population genetics software packages (e.g., ADMIXTURE, STRUCTURE, PLINK, or similar). 

  • Solid knowledge of statistical methods used in population genetics, including population structure analysis, genetic diversity estimation, and selection detection. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex genetic data and generate meaningful insights. 

  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in project management, team supervision, and mentorship. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences. 

  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
