Job Summary: The Sr. Systems Biologist Scientist will play a pivotal role in developing, optimizing, and executing systems biology methods to support our ongoing projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing a holistic approach to tackle biological questions.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute systems biology experiments to address critical questions in the organization’s research goals.
Analyze, interpret, and integrate various types of large-scale biological data, including genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic data.
Develop and apply computational and statical tools to analyze and visualize complex biological data.
Collaborate with experimental biologists and computational scientists to interpret results and develop predictive models.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in systems biology, incorporating novel techniques and insights into our research program.
Mentor junior scientists, aiding their development and understanding of systems biology.
Communicate results effectively to scientific and non-scientific colleagues and contribute to writing scientific manuscripts and grants.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience in an appropriate research environment.
Demonstrated experience analyzing large biological datasets using computational biology tools.
Strong knowledge of genomics, proteomics, and molecular biology techniques.
Proficiency in statical analysis and programming languages like R or Python.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into understandable terms.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team.
