Position Overview: The Sr. Chemical Physics Drug Research Scientist is crucial to our organization. Leveraging a deep understanding of chemical physics, the successful candidate will contribute to innovative drug research and development. This position involves using chemical physics principles to explore the molecular interactions of potential drugs, contributing to the creation of effective and safe therapeutics. 


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Apply principles of chemical physics to analyze and model the behaviors of potential drugs and their interactions with biological systems at the molecular level. 

  • Use advanced experimental and computational methods to understand the properties and reactions of drug molecules. 

  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including biochemists, pharmacologists, and computational scientists, to develop novel drug compounds and improve existing ones. 

  • Play a leading role in the design, execution, and interpretation of experimental results and ensure their translation into drug development processes. 

  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in chemical physics and integrate relevant techniques into the organization's drug research strategies. 

  • Mentor junior scientists and help foster an atmosphere of learning and continuous improvement within the team. 

  • Communicate research findings effectively to scientific and non-scientific audiences, including preparing and presenting scientific papers. 

  • Comply with all regulatory standards and ethical guidelines in the conduct of research. 


Qualifications: 


  • Ph.D. in Chemical Physics, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or a related field. 

  • Extensive experience in chemical physics, preferably with a focus on drug discovery and development. Proficiency in using modern computational and experimental techniques in chemical physics. 

  • Familiarity with molecular modeling and simulation software is highly desirable. 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts to a broad audience. 

  • A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications in chemical physics or drug discovery research. 

  • Proven leadership and collaborative skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
