Position Overview: As a Sr. In Vitro, In Vivo Drug Research Scientist, you will be pivotal in advancing our organization's drug discovery and development efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of in vitro and in vivo research methodologies to study the efficacy and safety of potential drug compounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate potential drugs' pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles.
Utilize advanced cellular and molecular techniques to understand the mechanisms of action of drug compounds in Invitro models.
Implement and manage in vivo studies in relevant disease models, observing and recording drug efficacy, tolerability, and toxicity data.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including biochemists, pharmacologists, and toxicologists, to integrate preclinical research findings into drug discovery and development.
Lead the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets, providing insights and recommendations for future research directions.
Stay abreast of emerging techniques and technologies in invitro and in vivo research, ensuring the organization's methodologies are state-of-the-art.
Mentor junior scientists, promoting a team learning and growth culture.
Communicate research findings effectively to scientific and non-scientific audiences and author research for peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Ensure all research is conducted in compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Extensive experience conducting in vitro and in vivo research, particularly in the context of drug discovery and development.
Proficiency in cellular and molecular techniques and knowledge of animal handling and experimental procedures.
Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex scientific data and concepts.
Track record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant research.
Proven leadership skills, with experience guiding teams in a multidisciplinary research environment.
