Job Summary: The Sr. Geneticist Scientist will play a vital role in the design and execution of Genec research projects. This role involves leading research teams, analyzing complex genetic data, and working with cross-functional teams to translate findings into practical applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in genetics and demonstrate a commitment to excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct advanced genetics research, interpreting and reporting findings and potential applications.
Utilize modern genetic technologies such as gene editing tools (CRISPRCas9), Next Generation Sequencing, and bioinformatics software for gene analysis.
Lead and mentored a team of junior scientists, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including bioinformatics, data science, and drug development teams.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technologies in the field of genetics.
Contribute to scientific publications, patent applications, and presentations at scientific conferences.
Develop protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure data accuracy and reproducibility.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience in a research-intensive environment.
Proven track record of innovative genetics research, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
Strong familiarity with genetic tools and techniques like CRISPR, NGS, and genotyping.
Proficiency in bioinformatics and statical data analysis software, such as R or Python.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
