About the Role

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage research projects in molecular genetics, including experimental design, execution, data analysis, and interpretation.

  • Conduct cutting-edge research to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying gene expression, regulation, and function. To study genetic variation and biological processes, apply advanced molecular techniques such as PCR, DNA sequencing, gene editing (CRISPR/Cas9), and transcriptomics.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement genomic studies to identify disease-related genes, genetic markers, and potential therapeutic targets.

  • Analyze and interpret molecular genetics data using bioinformatics tools and software, and generate meaningful insights. Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals, present at conferences, and contribute to intellectual property development.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and research staff, fostering their professional development and growth. Stay current with the latest advancements in molecular genetics, genomics, and gene editing technologies, and apply new knowledge to research activities.

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry partners.

  • Contribute to grant proposal development and secure external funding for research projects.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Post-doctoral research experience is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of successful research in molecular genetics, demonstrated by publications in reputable scientific journals.

  • Extensive expertise in molecular biology techniques, such as DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, cloning, gene expression analysis, and gene editing. Strong knowledge of genomics, DNA sequencing technologies, and bioinformatics tools for molecular genetics data analysis. Experience with high-throughput sequencing platforms (e.g., Illumina, PacBio) and analysis pipelines (e.g., variant calling, differential gene expression) is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in gene editing technologies, such as CRISPR/Cas9, TALENs, or zinc finger nucleases. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement complex molecular genetics experiments.

  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in project management, team supervision, and mentorship.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
