Senior Biologist

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage complex biological research projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. 

• Conduct advanced research, experiments, and analysis to explore and expand knowledge in specific biological areas. 

• Develop and optimize experimental protocols and techniques to improve research methodologies and outcomes. 

• Analyze and interpret research data, and prepare detailed reports, publications, and presentations for scientific journals, conferences, and stakeholders. 

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners to foster innovative research and development projects. 

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior biologists, offering mentorship and training as required. 

• Stay current with the latest advancements in biological sciences, and apply new knowledge and techniques to enhance research activities. 

• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and ethical standards for all research activities. Identify funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and contribute to securing external funding for research projects. 

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the team. 

Requirements: 

• Ph.D. in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field. Post-doctoral research experience is highly desirable. 

• Proven track record of successful research projects and publications in reputable scientific journals. 

• Expertise in a specific area of biology, such as molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, ecology, or bioinformatics. 

• Strong knowledge of advanced laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and data analysis methods. 

• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in project management, team supervision, and mentorship.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. 

• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and establish effective partnerships with external stakeholders. 

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of regulatory and ethical guidelines governing biological research.
